Soprano - Ania Hejnar

Soprano Ania Hejnar holds a Master of Music from the University of Ottawa. Upon graduating, Ms. Hejnar was a member of Opera Lyra Ottawa’s Young Artists Program, performing the roles of Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance and the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte. As a first prize winner in CMC, Ms. Hejnar performed in numerous concerts with the Orchestre Métropolitain.  Her first place win in the ABIVC led to her Carnegie Hall debut.  She has appeared as the soprano soloist in Haydn's Creation, Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Great Mass in C Minor and Exsultate Jubilate, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Schubert’s Mass in C.   Ms. Hejnar made her debut at the Maison Symphonique de Montréal as soprano soloist in Orff’s Carmina Burana. Aside from performing the National Anthem at venues like TD Place for the RedBlacks and numerous Parliament Hill events, including performing for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Ms. Hejnar also recently performed for Her Excellency, Mme. Julie Payette.  You can hear her voice on Remigio Pereira’s (former member of The Tenors) new solo album, VOX INAUDITO.

Alto - Beverly McArthur

Soprano Mezzo-soprano Beverly McArthur holds a Master of Music degree in Opera from the University of British Columbia. She has been praised for her rich voice and excellent character portrayals. She has performed in musical theatre, opera, and on the concert stage. Beverly sang her professional debut with Vancouver Opera as Wowkle in La Fanciulla del West and then followed up with Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia. She then won a place in the young artist program of L’Opéra de Montréal. Here she sang Clotilde in Norma, Zinnia in l’Étoile, and Mrs. Grose in the The Turn of the Screw. Beverly recently relocated to North Grenville and is happy to sing with the North Grenville Concert Choir and the Divertimento Orchestra.

Tenor - Preston Smith

Tenor Preston Smith is a 4th vocal major specializing in classical music at Carleton University. He has, and currently is studying with Professor Tanno. He has had the opportunity to sing in studio shooting star operatic showcases that contain selections from Lucia di Lammermoor, Norma, The Consul, The Medium, Cavalleria Rusticana, and more. He has also competed, and in some cases won, in many competitions around Ottawa and Ontario including Kiwanis Music Festival, NATS, and ORMTA, earning himself some scholarship money a long the way. He has been an Ontario Provincial Finalist for two years. Preston's dream is to pursue a career in not just music, but artistry. No matter the variety, his life is meant to be lived at the fullest on stage.

Bass - Thomas Franzky

Baritone Thomas Franzky is a multifaceted performer who brings years of experience to the stage as a singer and actor. He has performed main roles with the Pellegrini Opera, Bytown Opera Works and OperAntics in Ottawa, Toronto and Timmins, including Marcello and Schaunard in La Boheme, Papageno in The Magic Flute, King Arsace in Arsace II, and supporting roles in Romeo et Juliette, Madama Butterfly, Carmen, and The Barber of Seville. Thomas has been equally active in the musical theater realm, having performed lead roles with the Orpheus Musical Theatre Society, Kanata Theatre and The Ottawa Little Theatre. Capital Critic’s Circle noted in their review of Orpheus’ recent production of the Addams Family that “Thomas Franzky brings a fine singing voice and considerable stage presence to the role of Gomez”. He has also taken the stage as King Arthur in Monty Python’s Spamalot, Donny Parker in Rock & Roll, Billy Crocker in Anything Goes, and many other notable characters.
